Merger clause? Hahahaha how much negotiating capitol was wasted on this?

Pay rates? Not until the company sees a full year profit above 5% margin using the PS formula. How long until that happens again? I’m guessing 10 years (although I’d love to be wrong).

First class? We already have this and the language barely changes. Oh great I get first class for a sub four hour dead head... while I’m working 35 hours a month. That’ll make it easier to pay the mortgage.

Reserve QOL? You really may want to reread this.

ERAU short changed you on contract decoding and history. You clearly haven’t read the finer details. None of it is excellent.

Under the worst economic downturn airlines have ever seen? I’m not sure what you’re expecting beyond someone handing you a massive check in a sustained depressed revenue environment? But hey I get it, many of you have squandered decades of retirement savings and furthermore financed your lives away. Best for your denial of personal accountability to manufacture a fantasy about how making no attempt to prevent at least 3900 furloughs is a great union move for the self-serving gain of playing catch-up on your own mistakes.

I’m not trying to make your personal financial situation my business, but it’s certainly the over-arching theme I’m seeing from many naysayers. I don’t wish a difficult situation on anyone, but the root of reason from the loudest folks seems to be the same: Produce fear with no articulated proof beyond conjecture and baseless assumptions that hold no bearing in reality with the objective of self-serving means.

I hate all this just as much as anyone, but one thing is for sure.. If this TA fails I will never hold a grudge against a single person who voted against it. It was a choice, we voted, the group’s voice spoke. End of story. On the flipside I worry that if it passes the childish comments and irrational anger will last the rest of some of your careers. I hope I’m wrong.

Best of luck..

brace yourself for a two line condescending response with zero thought about airline economics more than 6 months out.

You’re making some pretty wild assumptions about my personal finances. And based on my original comment? Fortunately for myself, United could close the doors this afternoon and I’d be a ok. I would miss flying the jet but economically it wouldn’t change my life whatsoever.

And since you’re singling me out about producing fear that is also funny. I just thought it was naive to point out what erau posted as “gains”. They’re a complete joke to be used in selling this putrid agreement.

However, I am in agreement with everything you said in the last paragraph.

While I did quote your post in the reply I never directed it at you, but at a few I’ve seen going bananas here. They aren’t assumptions, but actual unintended admissions of people here. Trust me they’ll be chiming in soon. I disagree with your assessment of “selling points,” but to each their own.
