During the lost decade I was in and out if the building four times. I’ve seen this viscous cycle of furloughing or displacing experienced instructors go on multiple times. And every time I came back I had to requal to be a Type B. That ride is with the feds. I’ve taken it five times in total. Fun for the whole family!

I got bumped from DEN 320 Ca to DEN 737 Ca which I’m only holding by a few numbers. I just got a training date for 737 school so maybe I’ll hang on to the left seat this time but who knows for sure? My CCS seniority is about 5500.

I’m sure the Gupasaurus Maximus is just like Bigfoot only different, you’ll have to watch your head bumping the overhead panel on ingress/egress of the seat for one.

If you are inferring that I’m a SCAB, I’d suggest reading my original question again.
How do know that I’m not a current PI, had to move the family and now commute? (I’m not, but you made a huge ASSUMPTION and made a huge IMPLICATION that isn’t true about what causes or who executes furloughs)
I know these are challenging times for all and that emotions are high, mine are as well.
I’ve been close to the chopping block more than once here, but got LUCKY each time. I’ve
fully supported our brothers and sisters each time there was a furlough (furlough funds, paying for crew member drinks and dinners, helping new hires with other issues and ALPA volunteer work) and have always tried to treat others with respect and dignity.
Good luck to all of us.

Between America West and here I’ve somewhere north of 3,000 hours on the pestilential little guppy. I swore that I’d never fly it again under any circumstances. The airline career gods have smote me with furious vengeance for my heresy.

The next initial on the guppy will by my 6th time. I’ve also lost track of the times I swore I would never commute to Ny/NJ again.

I feel your pain brother! Here’s to better times!
