Not sure how this slipped under the radar.
SCREW YOU. We have a contract. Honor it. Every effin day. Seniority has it's privileges, as it always has and has it always should. And I am NOT senior! The company could offer a more attractive early out, but they chose not to. And when you are a WB Captain and sitting on your rear due to no fault of your own, I will fight for your paycheck as well.
Can't believe this hasn't been ridiculed by now.

That's my way of agreeing with both of you 😉

I sure hope so. But that's not how I read it. If I am wrong, my apologies. But 30 some years of listening to pilots yack has me springloaded to believe otherwise.
There may have been some distillates involved in my reading disuncomprehension.
****I missed "then buy those guys out". My apologies.

My advanced age, lack of bowel movements, shrunken pecker, limited mobility, borderline senility, my bunions, trench-mouth, shingles, arthritis, smegmatosis, phlegmatism, sodden depends, etc have all left me dyspeptic and unable to properly discern the written word.
First ten rounds are on me. Carry on.

I like your Idea on the contracts, They would never agree to give it back to us but they should not be paying so much that Skywest earns a profit! Especially when we and our planes are all sitting around getting paid and fuel is crazy cheap.

I would take it. I wrote to Insler/Whiteford and asked how allowing the EO by age and not seniority was not age discrimination. He didn’t even bother to answer me and instead had a lackey ALPA lawyer answer me. I’m 53 with 25 years of service and would like to leave with a safety net for a few years, say 3 years or age 65, whichever comes first, to pursue other things, but I can’t because I’m too young. I’m sure others would do the same. Their excuses were unsatisfying. It was “the best they could do”.

Most likely a divisor where they hope they can get nearly an entire group to vote for concessions to save their jobs. Hoping that they don't know any better since they haven't been on the property for prior furloughs.
