ABQ runway 26 at night from the west. Gotta turn within about 3 miles. So you're rolling out on final at about 1000'. Runways are hard to pick out at night and you can't see it from the left seat until you're leveling wings on final.

SBA was similar. Off the coast till you can turn a 2-3 mile base over the strawberry field. By the time you rolled out on final you’d be at about 500-700’. Land on a 5700’ runway. Pretty fun. Specially since you’d slam dunk over the LAX traffic to begin.
