Because I called someone out when they insinuate their status is elevated due to their 15 years of ALPA service? Or better yet, if one has a grievance, their only option is to volunteer within the union structure to be heard. No wait, it must have been when I responded to an abrasive comment trying to get me to respond to an ALPA call to action. Never was it asked if I'd already undertaken that action. When all else fails, the smear always seems a winning combination resulting from his assumptions.
I respect those who step up and volunteer and realize many positions are very time consuming. The strange thing during all the conversations I've had with those I hold in high regard, conversations where we've agreed and disagreed, not once did they say, "well I've been doing this for X years, you?" or "tough, if you don't like it your only option is to volunteer".
Was the bell ringer salute gif over the top? Maybe, and for that I apologize.

Again, you took my message wrong. Okay.
If you think I agree with ALPA 100% of the time you are very mistaken. I do what I can, make my position on a topic known, and press on if the outcome isn’t to my liking.
Be safe out there.

The Captain who told me "Today you will learn the Eastern way" is still here and he's still a GREAT Captain, but now on the 777. So are several other 727 Captains that I flew with my first few years at UA. I realize that you're joking, but MU hired some great guys back then. A lot of them are still here.

Here's a compilation of programs announce so far, I can't vouch for the accuracy.

I’ve heard ours is in line with Americans. It seems pretty good. Especially the 401k contributions continue and they get their sick bank paid out at 40 cents on the dollar. Southwest is nice as it pays up to 5 years and no age limit.

Where did you hear this....and will UAL stipulate age 62 minimum? Curious.
