Oh, in that case I’m tired of getting beaten down.

I don't want to put words in your mouth or make assumptions, so please tell me the point of your post. It's a very strange thing to say.

Unbelievable...can’t even give SK a chance. Your attitude should be that if he’s got concessions in there you can’t live with, then vote it down, but to blindly just say this??? Nice.
Ok, I'll give on 4-A-3, LOA 10, and MOU 26. Those...I can live without.

How long were you an FO? I did not live lavishly. My student loans were six figures. I made my food for my trips and lived on that. I did have a wife and kid though. I knew of very few regional pilots during the Dark Decade that were able to bank money. In fact, adding to one’s 401K had a financial impact on how much discretionary income you had. All of this was better if you were able to upgrade quickly. I chose unwisely and went to a regional that the upgrade was six years and it kept on being six years.

What exactly is this "$50,000 whining bonus"? Are you referencing the bonus structure at the regionals that's barely 12-18 months old, and most had to be on property a full year, or more to get it?

Because if you are, I SERIOUSLY doubt we have many new hires here that actually got that much. Sure, maybe a few.

But to think FO's that came from the regionals were rolling in the cash due to the bonus structure is nothing more than complete ignorance.

Not a strange thing to say at all. There are still many sections that we have not recovered from bankruptcy. For example, we had an opportunity to improve some reserve rules--which are straight from Glenn, but we chose other areas to focus on. Relentless short call anyone?

Just to name a few:
Credit for reserves on a trip
Training pay per day,
Vacation pay per day,
Myriad of other work rules....

At one point, Mako had a great list.

I had some hope of fixing these in our current contract talks. My glass seems to have a leak in it. It started half full.

what about owning a Tesla is living beyond your means as a Legacy FO? Most of the FOs I know make 200-300k. FOs make more now than Captains did in 2013. This pandemic is a once in a century event that has devastated our economy.

By the way a $500,000 house is a dump in many west coast cities. Complete fixer or tear down. It’s also a very modest purchase price on $200k+ per year.

We still have not recovered what was taken from us back when the gun was held to our collective heads.

The issue isn't 200-300k a year ... The issue is living paycheck to paycheck beyond your means without an emergency fund ... I know of people making lowly sums that make wiser use of their income within their means.
