I made at least 15% every 6 months on CAL stock

You would call that “failed miserably“? 🧐

Admittedly, I read the post thinking ESOP. In that regard, no thanks. Airline stocks are so cyclical I'd rather not buy into an ESPP. If you happen to work at an upstart tech firm, that would be another story.

Hence that old old joke;

How do you end up with a million dollars in the airline world? Start with 2 million.

I'm sure you did.

I'm 6'6" tall, 260 lbs of solid muscle, and am nicknamed 'tripod'. I'm currently sexually involved with five Victoria's Secret models which put Mako's beauties to shame. And I make at least 16% every 6 months in the stock market.

I'm sure you did.

we got to purchase the stock at a 15% discount off market prices

The stock went up in price for the 6mo period? You made more than 15%. CAL during the late 90’s until they ended the ESPP enjoyed a decent run.

I’m not sure why you’re so openly hostile to something that actually happened for a lot of people.

The subject was ESOP, not whatever ESPP was. And I'd rather have the 15% in wages rather than gambling on the stock price staying stable/going up.

The short of it is that management would place a value on your ESPP idea, and their value would likely be a higher value than what they'd pay us in higher wages.
