70.0%, take E-SRL or 737FO Reserve QOL vs pay

Ill try to use a simple example. This example assumes it’s after the effective date and dealing with a displacement.
Say you only have four pilots getting displaced into category X. Pilot 1 thru pilot 4 and that’s from the most senior to most junior.
For whatever reason pilot 1 goes to training first. Pilots 2,3 and 4 are still awaiting their trip to TK. 8-F-5 says pilot 1 keeps his pay since pilot 4 hasn’t gone to training yet. With me so far..... Pilot 1 is now man for man protected by pilot 4.
Now, pilot 2 goes and gets qual’d. Pilot 1 is still man for man with pilot 4 for his pay protection. And pilot 2 is now man for man with pilot 3. Pilot 2 can’t use pilot 4 to pay protect him because pilot 1 is already using him as his pay protection.
Now pilot 4 goes and gets his qual. Pilot 1 cant use pilot 4 and shifts to being protected by pilot 3. As a result, Pilot 2 has now lost anyone to go “man for man” with and therefore triggers to his new pay rate.
It’s virtually impossible for a line pilot to keep track of this on a displacement of this size. The SSC watches this closely and publishes a monthly report in the SSC meeting minutes called the 8-F-5 report.

I stay away from giving advice on a public forum. Sorry. I will however try to answer UPA questions.

You are correct. You will be paid as a 777 FO until you start OE as a 737 FO.

He could actually keep the 777 FO pay longer than OE. Slim chance but a chance nonetheless.
Big picture, the new ESRL delays the OE trigger but comes with X months at zero pay. How a pilot values the option is up to them. Me, I’m local so will put up with RSV. A commuter from a city that’s hard to commute from, different story for certain.

Same here. June-October ERSL but June still shows reserve. I'll be PDRing it too, perhaps in November though.
