Well, let me bring it to you this way; don’t you think that if US aid money is going to citizens of foreign countries in a current house bill (which I believe to be unwise)...it might be time to start thinking of out-of-the-box solutions to our plight? I made a suggestion that we go after more direct aid in a specific way...to facilitate buyouts which itself is not a new concept, eh?
Tanker comment was an unrelated example of ingenuity conquering close minded failed arrogance. Did I clear it up enough Holmes?

Honestly, no. I went back read this thread and didn’t find anything that looked like a clear proposal to reduce furloughs.

I love an incomplete and unrelated story as much as the next guy, but what exactly are you suggesting?

I’m not sure why you don’t think people retiring (via buyouts/early retirements) is a clear way to reduce furloughs...my buds at AA get it. It’s a clear and complete industry standard proven plan that I’m just suggesting we ask the government to fund it since United isn’t interested in doing so. Just like there was $ in CARES specifically for employees payroll, I’m proposing to lobby for $ for employee buyouts to save jobs in any future iterations of the CARES Act. It’s really a pretty simple clear proposal...maybe you can come up w a constructive way to help our fellow pilots that you can understand.

TOTAL BS. Please direct your rage towards the company where it belongs. The company has made it clear they do not want an early retirement program, other than the early retirement ESRL that was made available. That may change. The company is your employer. Not ALPA. We have a contract. We’re enforcing it. Btw, I don’t remember hearing your kudos when the extension made you whole for your furlough longevity after years of hearing your *****n about how ALPA wronged you in C2012. You hate ALPA. I get it. But take a look at your W2. You’re welcome.

Some of my old fart buddies have convinced the D team to include an age extension for pilots until they reach SocialSecurity full retirement age. It’s in the weeds of the new Dems Cares Act version. 😳

Im trying to remember what it was that P. T. Barnum said ...

The only atmosphere management is interested in is one that benefits them, then the shareholders. You were just a mackerel on the end of the line in that indoc class.

the only rage I see is in you and your ranting post. I made an attempt to provide a constructive new idea...I don’t hate ALPA...never said anything remotely close to insinuating such. As for thanking anyone for the extension...my reps were admittedly against the extension despite it removing LOA25 and its stain on our union, so who should I thank exactly? As for making furloughees whole again...if you really think that extension did so...I have a special place for you to go! It smells like crap! What exact line in a 2-3x Furloughee’s W-2 should anyone be thanking you for?
OBTW, are you an ALPA rep? If so, Firstly, thank you but secondly why are you requiring 90hrs a month to volunteer your service to your fellow pilots that are suffering and making 40-70 hrs?
