True if you get senior fairly quick in a seat and stay senior seat to seat as you move up ... junior in the last car on the roller coaster probably not so much ....

Thanks for posting this. In my experience, those whom I’ve flown with who barely hung on definitely had more of a negative attitude than those who were furloughed, worked elsewhere, and then returned. Those who barely missed furlough really got abused and kicked around for many years through pay cuts, BK, seat stagnation, crappy work rules, etc. So, although being let go stinks, it might also provide other opportunities. Maybe some cool mil orders. Maybe a non-flying job where you can be home with the fam every night. I mean, you’re already hired so you don’t have to worry about being current. They’re gonna retrain you when you return.
Also, since furloughs cost money, they may incentive COLAs in some way as a way to save money. I think LCAL used pass privileges or something like that to make COLA more attractive.

Frankly, I’m amazed. At 3:18pm, he’s been drinking for at least 8 hours. I’ve only been drinking since noon since I stayed up too late watching the sh/tnami those greasy trailer park idiots have dropped on us like a flock of sh/thawks after a big meal but maybe Jim just needs a drink-poo. I’ll go make him one after I’m finished making cheeseburgers 🍔
