In the UPA, it's a 90 day Furlough Notice (in writing). Those hired before January 23rd (or someday very close to that), 2016 will be afforded that provision. Apparently those hired post that date can be furloughed without such notice.

So how does he fix this? Anticipate DCA people bumping to EWR on the next displacement? Could there be a scenario where they’d actually run a small vacancy?

Do you know the history of TCAs or why we require line qualified pilots to serve in the training center? Let me clue ya in, United won’t stop training.
Nooooooooooo not my point. Im saying it would be nice if we take every opportunity we have to make it more of a challenge for the company m to axe 4000 pilots by not tripping over one another to become a replacement PI. Of course they aren’t going to stop training but nobody should be jumping at an opportunity to help the company out at this point in time.

Pretty safe to say if folks hired before that date are notified, those hired after that date will be notified too.

yes... Carlson will displace all the DCA 787 (Same w/ ORD, SFO and IAH) overages during the next round. Not sure about ORD, SFO and IAH... but expecting most from DCA will probably commute using the PS travel bennies to EWR rather than go a DCA NB... the pay disparity is just too big.

If they work through the weekend they could even have #2 out by Tuesday. At 20 days per displacement there’s almost time for #3 by Jul 1. Perfect timing 90 days prior to Oct 1 and all the excess NB FO “lambs-to-the-slaughter” will be right where they want them......

So, I get this notice on CCS today: “You should participate in the Recurrent Training Bid process this month for recurrent training occurring in the June 2020 bid period. Bidding opens on April 18th at 10:00 CT and closes on April 25th at 10:00 CT.” They do realize its MAY 23rd, right?!?!?! 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️
