Your “UAL bud” sounds like a drama queen. I wouldn’t listen to much of what he has to say at this point on.

yeah about 2850 of our pilots are about to get 100% pay cut.

define “pay cut” and maybe we can talk about your rumor.

We are in the same boat. All the info he had was 35-40% and no furloughs.

I think the proposal will be a MPG reduction and line credit range reduction. So yes a pay cut but the hourly rates will not be touched. Pilots will be a ble to pick up as much OT as they want. Depending on the seniority of a pilot they may not see any reduction in pay or QOL.

Thanks. It’s clear something has to happen. I hope everyone establishes concrete (as possible) snap backs.

Wadr the notion of "depending upon pilot seniority" you will not get a paycut won't work. With as little flying as we have for the foreseeable future, saying pilots will be able to pick up as much time as they want is a blatant misconception and talking point of many who want to sell this rumored agreement. It will be the top 10 to maybe 15% that can add time to their schedule. The vast majority will eat cake and be stuck. Even 10-15% is a stretch because of the top 5% who build their schedules to obscene amounts.

Insult to injury, the top 10-15% in every seat save the NB effo will be in the rumored tier taking the least mpg hit. Go figure.

And given how many of the 5% are SCABS, I’m mortified that this is even being kicked around...

The longer TK is operating at full capacity, the faster the company can cut to the bone. The "snapback" date will coincide with when TK will be caught up. I'm predicting Aug 31st, 2021 for the MOAF (Mother of All Furloughs).

if things aren’t better by AUG 2021 this airline will be out of business.
