UAL Forumas well as social media groups (not this one) where specific reps have been identified according to their personal stance on mitigation, as well as how heavily they are being lobbied. My specific LEC has a very vocal, very senior group who is actively lobbying against ANY suggestion of mitigation.

While I appreciate the “education” regarding how the process works, I’m not new to the industry. I’ve been an ALPA member for well over a decade, and I’ve also done work for the Association. I’m well aware of the process, and it’s FAR from perfect.

Whatever. It’s gonna be what it’s gonna be.

You've been throwing nothing but flame bait out there. You have not worked within this ALPA group and you have no way to support your crazy claims. Keep the BS to yourself and post facts, not sensationalist conjecture like CNN.

Unlike your post which has substance and isn’t completely divisive

No offense, but you don't seem to know how the process works. The MEC shouldn't rubber stamp substandard agreements period. You seem upset that your minority opinion isn't swaying the local LEC or even the MEC? It sounds like the majority of the MEC is unwilling to loosen/change the direction given to the NC. Let the process work.

I didn’t say it was THIS ALPA group. I’ve seen the process at work with many different airlines, and there’s one pretty common thread. The senior folks get favored, and the masses are not to be trusted. Call me cynical, but I do believe the higher amount of dues money equates to more influence regarding the process. Not to mention.....it’s politics and bureaucracy. Not exactly an unpredictable subject.

As I stated before.....it’s gonna be what it’s gonna be. I’m let down by how things seem to be headed....but certainly not surprised.

I loved the reply when she said that about Obama care. Someone said that she just gave the textbook definition of a stool sample. Every now and then politics is funny.

Based on one of our crack number-crunchers and an updated vacancy bid screen, for now( if nothing changes )it looks like another 916 ish could get furloughed beyond the 2850 :-(

for those of u that see UAL matrix info It’s on his website.
