Furlough estimate
#1731
While I appreciate the “education” regarding how the process works, I’m not new to the industry. I’ve been an ALPA member for well over a decade, and I’ve also done work for the Association. I’m well aware of the process, and it’s FAR from perfect.
Whatever. It’s gonna be what it’s gonna be.

I'm really sorry for the position the bottom third finds themselves in. I'd be shocked to find a pilot who wishes another pilot to be furloughed. Kirby has said his ultimate goal is to achieve zero cash burn asap. Remember, pilots don't furlough pilots.
What we can't do is point fingers and rip this pilot group apart. It serves no purpose.

UAL Forumas well as social media groups (not this one) where specific reps have been identified according to their personal stance on mitigation, as well as how heavily they are being lobbied. My specific LEC has a very vocal, very senior group who is actively lobbying against ANY suggestion of mitigation.

As I stated before.....it’s gonna be what it’s gonna be. I’m let down by how things seem to be headed....but certainly not surprised.

Based on one of our crack number-crunchers and an updated vacancy bid screen, for now( if nothing changes )it looks like another 916 ish could get furloughed beyond the 2850 :-(
for those of u that see UAL matrix info It’s on his website.
