LOL ... Did you even read the article? While de-emphasis of the Phillips Curve may change the way inflation is FORECAST it will not change inflation the way it hits your wallet. If you were around earning/spending money in the late 70s you would understand.
Nothing about printing money is free ... Let them print off enough to pay of the deficit and see what happens.

My education was in Finance and Economics whatever that is worth. I haven't used it in a few years but I do still have somewhat of a grasp on the basics.

Perhaps the biggest reason for the inflation of the 70's was taking the currency off the gold standard in 1971. Regardless, it was not a fun time if one (me) was buying a house or other large purchase that required financing. If we use history as a lesson (which too often our leaders fail to do) clearly printing money is a train wreck about to happen to the economy.
