2 furloughs later (maybe a third coming) there’s no doubt in my mind SWA would have been a better choice. My initial short-sighted thoughts were “they only have guppies”.....but you just have to admit there’s a little special sauce there if we are on the third big ****show in 20 years and they haven’t ever furloughed, and UAL has every time.

There's been no appreciable spread of covid19 from the NYC protests showing up in the data, though. Shows how effective masks are and how outside activities are much safer. Obviously, some people didn't wear masks, but if 80% are that still cuts down on transmission by quite a bit, and many protesters were masked.
You guys can't get it through your thick skulls, Masks do not protect you from a virus! Its transmitted via touch or air. You cover your eyes? No! Then your wasting your time! Dam your thick heads. Viruses pass right through masks other then N95's which only work on average of 45 min. By then there wet and non effective.

you’re just plain wrong here. mostly the virus is transmitted by droplets. Masks stop almost all of that.

yeah, you still need to wash your hands but if everyone wears a mask and washes their hands then we’d be able to put a stop to this.

Funny. Mask company states otherwise.

Surgeons use masks to stop bacteria spread and contaminants. Not virus. Bacteria is much larger than a virus. Sounds like you need to do some remedial internet research.

Sounds like somebody doesn't understand what science actually is and how to differentiate between objective facts and subjective memes and other BS. Here's a summary of the studies showing mask efficacy so far, including the names of the studies themselves which you can copy & paste then read for yourself if you don't trust the cogent and well-documented review:

http://files.fast.ai/papers/masks_lit_review.pdf

Enjoy!
