Makes it hard to recover when people are playing race politics with Covid 19 tracing.
It’s not like NYC isn’t a source of aviation demand.

There's been no appreciable spread of covid19 from the NYC protests showing up in the data, though. Shows how effective masks are and how outside activities are much safer. Obviously, some people didn't wear masks, but if 80% are that still cuts down on transmission by quite a bit, and many protesters were masked.

If things don’t change soon (demand returns, massive early outs (which probably won’t happen) or gov bailout), I think the furloughs will go deep.
Today, we need 3920 pilots to fly the schedule. That’s flying 35% of our normal schedule.
Not trying trying to be a glass half- empty guy here, but I’m prepping myself and family for a third furlough.
Good Luck to us all.

I think that the ratio is 0-1. I think part of the negotiations was the union and the company coming up with an anticipated take. It seems the Union is expecting 1000 pilots to take an early out, voluntary fourlough or a COLA. This would be 70% by next summer. Unfortunately I think the 2250 will not be saved unless a turn around happens by next summer or more then 1000 opt to to go.
I also think the opposite is true if the early out flops then more WARNS and fourloughs will be sent

when you go bankrupt you have to provide a restructuring plan and it has to be accepted by the creditors and the courts. To be as small as we are today would never be accepted and we would end up CH.7. Your class have empty post equates to an empty glass that has been shattered. No reason to prep for a fourlough because you won’t be coming back.

Completely agree. We need positive things to happen...soon.
this airline can’t sustain being this small I would say 60% is the point at which we can survive. Below that we will be out of business. It doesn’t matter how many people you fourlough you can’t use payroll to pay your bills, it’s simply not enough money.

I can’t help but think about all the guys that wanted to work here, got the thanks but no thanks and later hired on with SWA, FEDEX, UPS, etc and now come back and see what could have been at UA. Pretty embarrassing stuff.
