Countries that successfully managed the infection and worked together, social distanced, wore masks and did massive testing are able to reopen and people are travelling just fine over there while continuing to test heavily and locking down any new hotspots quickly. A lot easier to contract trace 12 cases than 80,000 a day. Certain people make certain choices and now unfortunately we are going to suffer the consequences until a vaccine is available, or we go through some pretty solid regional lockdowns again.

I guess maybe they’re not going to care that you call them a blow-hard troll and want them to go away then.

Makes it hard to recover when people are playing race politics with Covid 19 tracing.
It’s not like NYC isn’t a source of aviation demand.

Yes, the politicization (both sides) of the entire thing is completely out of control. It’s an example of not changing anybody’s mind (like MoP is saying). That said, I think most of us care a great deal as it is impacting and will impact so much and so many. At least for me it’s infuriating to helplessly watch it all go down.
Regarding the article, the last part of it pretty much explains why there’s not much of a point in asking when it comes to contact tracing. It would give an idea of how much large gatherings are contributing to the issue, though.
