756 Fleet Parked?

Well, since the Oscar and Scott show is for all employees I doubt it’ll get into pilot specifics. Wrong audience.
The flight Ops Quigly show was pushed to the 5th. That will be the one that may have some information. We can hope it will shed some light on the master plan.....

Take a look at the seniority of EWR/IAH/DCA/ORD. Those bases are senior on the 756 because of the International flying. The question is do those pilots want to take a pay cut to fly an uncomfortable aircraft doing domestic 4 day trips.
let me know how your pay compares after all the PPU trips you are going to be getting of the next year. Compare yourself to a 764/763 line not a 752 line. If you compare yourself to a SFO/LAX/DEN line then I agree with you as do all United pilots and that is why the 756 in those bases are so junior.

764 is the only one that pays significantly more, and is no longer flown in my base (DCA). Even when it was, I wouldn’t have been senior enough to see it.
763 pays nearly the same as 737 and the 763 has less productive trips on average. So even without PPU I’d make more money on the 737 mainly because of (1) lots more productive trips, (2) better relative seniority, and (3) more open time opportunities.
Seniority wise, the top 20-30% of the 756 fleet could fly mostly 764 stuff. Up to about 50% gets to see some 763 stuff. Bottom 50% gets paid the same as 737 other than a couple dollars/hour higher blended rate for reserves.
At the end of the day, it was nice having these types of choices. Like 1 leg days? Like PPU? Like weekends off? Hate flying at night? Is $7/hr more on the 756 worth 50% less seniority? I guess my point is that moving off the 756 isn’t going to be a pay cut for everyone involved. Even if PPU and open time all go away.

You do know that PPU goes away once the first guy gets furloughed? (Never mind...I hadn’t read all the way to the end).
