Every airline is looking for CASH. At least UAL is in a position where it’s an option.

Sounds like they are copying my investment strategy. Buy high, sell low.

At this point, it’s almost comical and all we can do is laugh. Raising a billion after blowing 8 at double or triple the current prices. An APU turned on 10 minutes early is irrelevant, for all of us, every day, every single flight, for the rest of our careers.

If UAL takes the second tranche of government assistance ....the 4.5B in loans, then the USA will have warrants to own 7.6% of UAL according to the Financial Times. About 20M shares by my math. So this is interesting. Diluting the shareholder value, including the federal government's, by about 15%? (~40M new shares added to 260M outstanding). It looks like those buybacks aren't aging well.

It’s always been irrelevant to me, there’s no monetary reason we can’t all be comfortable.

I’m going to use that.

I think UAL started buy backs when the stock was in the 40's, and continued into the 80's, and maybe 90's.
