Last year of the SC then. Enjoy and hang on to it. I’ve owned many a 911, even the least desirable models of which have become ridiculously overpriced and desirable.
Fortunately for you, the SC does not fit that description and is a great driver’s car to own and use.
Your dad probably already did it, but just make sure you updated to the oil-fed Carrera tensioners. Simple, but an absolute must-do.

I’m with you, brother Mako. I”m not that old, but early 911s have always been my favorite. I’ve owned more long-noses than anything else. I had a ‘72 911S in Tangerine like the color pictured above. Best year 911 (excluding ‘73 Carrera RS, just too unobtanium), and the best color.
Kick myself in the a$$ daily for selling it. Price of entry just too steep now.

I never owned one, but go rolled over in one. High school ride home with rich kid golf team mate who had swapped his 70 Camaro SS with his brothers 911 for a couple days . He was showin me what it would do. Afterward I was sure happy I was
laying on the headliner of the Porsche rather than the Camaro. That little 911 was pretty tough.

The 70's had disco, bell bottoms, and Charlies Angles. The trifecta of coolness. I still got my Farah Fawcet poster in the garage. In college it was in the dorm room, but I am just glad the wife let me keep it....Plus every now and then i get to take my balls with me when I go for a drive.
