Default Attn Commuters. United April Schedule

Better check frequency on the flights for your commutes. It's not pretty.

Honestly don’t think it will be an issue. I don’t think we will be flying in April.

The entire industry that is. The coming bailouts, consolidations, layoffs (not furloughs), and restructuring/re-regulation will be hard to process. There is no precedent for what is happening to the industry and the economy writ large, not by a long shot.

United isn’t going out of business. If the current situation goes on for months there may be a hard reset of some kind. The bottom half of the list may not like the results, but United will survive in some form.

What? And the top half will like the results?

Nope. It’s going to be bad for all, but those in the top half should not be worried about furlough, just backwards movement and the resulting reduction in pay...... again. I don’t think that we’re looking at furloughs nearly that deep though. This will run its course and the initial recovery should fairly quick, but the complete recovery to where we were a couple of months ago could take longer.

Sorry man, I really should have put a smiley face at the end of my post. It was a bit of dark humor; I didn't mean to put you on the hot seat.

Yes, things are going to suck terribly. And big jerk, the new poster here has a lot of truth in his posts. It's just that he ether doesn't know how to polish the turd or doesn't care that he's being a callous ahole.

Fortunately, we have a lot of retirements coming up so that will help alleviate some furloughs. But with the current rate of deterioration of the airline industry, furloughs and concessions are almost a foregone conclusion. I don't like typing that and sincerely hope I'm wrong, but if one takes a couple steps back and looks at things objectively, it's hard to come to any other conclusion.
Having said that, I leave it up to UALALPA to do the talking for me without criticizing them. And I wish that everyone, especially the bloviating brit, would do the same. It's time to fall in and form up behind our ALPA leadership with them doing all of the talking. We should just be patient while we prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
Any member who complains about ALPA leadership during this time is a total dirtbag in my book. Reminds me of an old TV show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKmJPnAGUJk

Anyone who complains about ALPA needs to imagine what today would look like without them. I can GUARANTEE a giant axe would have already fallen. Best money ever spent.

Yep. We'll likely be eating an oversized turd sandwich before this is over, but we would be eating a lot more turds if not for ALPA. In Todd (and the rest of leadership) I trust.
