Edited:

Thought Tin Cup was a Pilot from another airline throwing bombs. After re-reading, he sounds like someone I know from the ORD base. Yeah, we certainly may join the others in announcing fleet reductions etc. Have a good weekend.

Says the guy hiding behind an SN as well being a hypocrite...not a time for jabs like these. Everyone is feeling the pain here, if you think this is an international issue your far mistaken. Domestic demand across all airlines is being affected. There will be enough pain for all airlines here, including LCC's and regionals as scope contracts at all the majors will force uncertainty with those flying RJ's. This is survival right now...not a time for division amongst your peers

Memo from Mr. Bastian. No breakdown offered. 40% reduction in total capacity. Worse than 9/11.

AA is parking the 767 next month. 787’s replacing them.
757 is phased out by the end of summer 2021.

things aren’t good but there is some reason behind the numbers.

As I indicated in my edited post, my initial thought was that this Tin Cup guy, who has been a relatively new forum poster and quite busy discussing the doom and gloom was trolling. My comments, in which you quoted prior to my editing were a hastily typed response to what I thought was flame bait. Agree this is going to bad for all. We haven’t seen the bottom yet and I think the recovery for our industry will be slow. I do believe we will recover though.
