Default Jetstream vs A Cut Above Pilot shirts

I’m getting tired of our crappy M and H shirts with the collars that stick out. Everyone recommends A Cut Above pilot shirts, but when I checked the reviews on their website it appears that their quality has fallen off.

Apparently, until just recently the A Cut Above shirts were made in Vietnam, but lately the shirts are being made in China and their end product has suffered. Another UA guy said that Jetstream had an ad on the board in the EWR CPO, so I decided to check them out.

A Cut Above: Basic shirts 65% polyester and 35% cotton

Jetstream: Classic cut 60% cotton and 40% polyester

The prices seem about the same at $40 or so with tall and eyelets. I like more cotton vs polyester. Anyone have any experience with either of these companies?

Thanks.

You found time in your busy schedule of being angry to go shirt shopping?

Well, you have to plan ahead. If this place goes under again, you’ll be making $95/hr and wearing their crappy Brooks Brothers shirts. I plan on making $95/hr and wearing a nice shirt from Jetstream or A Cut Above.

Both are nice shirts but JetSeam is cut for a well endowed belly while A Cut Above is cut for slimmer folks.

I got two of the stretchy lightweight a cut above shirts last summer and love them. Look good, nice cut, etc. It's $80. Buy a couple, you'll be happy.

Except for the neck. I can’t figure out how to button it without having all that gray fabric show above the tie knot.

very good point. And the epaulettes look stupid on the M&H shirt.

Pilot House.
www.pilotshirts.com
They have a couple of different cuts and their custom shirt has two fabrics and I like them (and have several of both) both. Customer service pretty responsive if you need to swap for a different size etc.
