Could there be a silver lining in this downturn? The company by now is well aware of our position on scope. Could this sudden reduction in consumer demand make 100 seat mainline jets more appealing? This isn’t the first major hit to demand, and it won’t be the last. We will recover from this, and then it’s full speed ahead into the next brick wall.

maybe they have some “flexing” as a function of actual capacity flown but I guarantee you that they get paid something per month no matter what.

Number of 50 seater have to stay below 90% of mainline NB
we are nowhere near that. And you can park all 756 and not affect that.
regional flying is restricted to 120% of mainline flying - again - nowhere near that today. But pulling international long haul may affect that.

United officials said they don’t plan to abandon service to any U.S. cities, but they will eliminate some routes as part of the 10% cut in the April schedule for domestic service. For example, the airline will stop flying from Chicago to Eugene, Oregon, but it will continue to serve Eugene from San Francisco and Denver. It will also reduce the number of daily flights on some routes.
That’s a SKW route on a 175 getting the axe.
