Delta guy posted this from JP Morgan industrial conference. SK summarizes UALs position to investors first 15 minutes, then Q and A for 30 minutes. Last answer addresses furlough possibility.

The CDC is saying anyone over 60 should not take unnecessary flights. There’s your early out program. To sweeten the pot all you younger guys could start a gofund me to buy us a cruise....not a slow boat to a China😋

=12pt“United's net bookings, which include new reservations minus cancellations, have collapsed in Asia and Europe, said Scott Kirby, the airline's president who is scheduled to take over as CEO from Oscar Munoz in May. While domestic net bookings are down 70%, gross bookings are down 25%, which Kirby said are a better measure of current demand.”
Reminds me a lot of news articles. Headlines or snippets can make it seem a lot worse. Have to read the whole thing to get an accurate picture (that is if their reporting is truthful).

I think you guys are going to be fine, and hopefully things start going back to normal in the next few weeks. Fingers crossed for all of us in the industry, stuff like this sucks to even contemplate.[/QUOTE]

Thanks for the info. I would have been an Aug '18 hire. Good luck to us all, crazy times ahead. Hopefully it's all over soon.
