You’re posting fact based on a classified briefing? If it’s not classified, would you care to share the publicly available assessment?

It may very well be a mistake. Management makes them, but that's really the crux of this. Management rights. My school of thought is this: don't count your chickens til they hatch. The internet or social media shouldn't replace common sense. if the union has or had an enforcement mechanism to FORCE management to have a class they would. No leverage. 23 was a small class. It's just a postponement, not an indefinite cancellation. I think within 45 days or so that class will report. But, when you combine corona virus plus the Max I don't think management is to blame. I don't think it's a big boogey man conspiracy. We need pilots and we need to staff the airline. We're losing over a million dollars a day. It's money, some might argue big money. I don't think this is the last time we'll see a class cancellation. There are other reasons and other factors that may postpone or delay a class. Are there other parts of the airline that have stopped hiring? Inflight? Management? I don't know, just asking..

Most of it's open-source now. It's been open source for the better part of 10 years. It's all about the source. Quote the wrong source and you get in trouble. I don't care to share. But, I do think there are foreign actors who have nefarious intentions and some of those actors are quite careless.

It's open source that China has a long history of sloppy laboratory protocols.

Yeah, that's what I thought, how'd I know you'd have a big bag of air when pressed. But, please stand by your statement that this is a Chinese NBC mishap and that you KNOW, you just can't say HOW you know.

Like I said, Pathetic.

Baseballs apprehension of the news being put out by the Chinese State run media is well founded. If you don’t have that access (I do, and checked last week), maybe just hang back and wait.

Ill also submit this is 90% generated media hysteria.

I didn't see anything is post regarding Chinese state run news agencies, if I missed it all I can say is "no kidding". Isn't shaping a single message that furthers the government's agenda and deflects blame the hallmark of a central government? As an aside, that's exactly what the US government is currently doing by forcing all statements from formerly transparent agencies of the government to channel all communications through Pence's office. I predict this will be the administration's "Heck of a job Brownie" moment.

Anyway, you guys are saying that this virus, that's idled international's routes, cleared out the terminals, and canceled new hire classes is mostly media hysteria? I just watched a clip of Trump crowing it's no big deal because he closed the borders early, not sure who to believe here. I suppose let's check back in a month to see the US domestic body count.

Are you standing with the claim that Corona is a Chinese bioweapon that escaped a military lab near Wuhan?

Why is a response like yours commonplace to quotes like Baseball said? He speaks the truth. I don't wish hard times on anyone, but that's what went on during a few furlough seasons. Younger pilots seem to be in denial that they themselves could ever be furloughed what with the good luck in their careers they've has so far. That's all Baseball was trying to say I believe.

Are you honestly telling me that these 10 or so pilots had no money in the bank, no rainy day fund, no 2nd source of income or no working spouse and they live paycheck to paycheck?? It doesn't reflect well on their financial management and that deserves no sympathies

You are raising 50k for about 10 pilots. Thats 5k per pilots. How long is it going to last them? Do you plan on using Gofundme platform to raise income until United reinstates their class which no one knows when that might be?

Totally impractical and unrealistic!
