Thanks for the obvious. BTW, TX is in play this year albeit probably out of reach. How is NV looking?

the dem party is imploding before our eyes. you have an outward socialist leading in the primaries , a potential civil war if he’s screwed again by the establishment Dems. They have no platform except catering to non citizens and putting guys in girls bathrooms. I can’t wait till November to see people like u cry again....
fyi I’m enjoying my 401k and the lowest unemployment in over 50 years.
I won't shed a tear this time either, but I'll be sure to remind you of your bold prediction if you turn out to be oh so wrong.

When it is finally over and DJT is off the scene, what is left of the GOP is going to wish they’d shown him the door when they had the chance. Remember when the GOP could win elections in CA? Not anymore.
I’ll take the Donald. You can have the Seltzer man and Occasional Cortex.

I had to apply for my global entry just like everyone else. it's all about data base access, and data base scrubbing. You can't have expedited entry unless the FEDS have complete and total access to all of your background information.

If a state is shielding information and preventing federal access for a federal program then the state essentially has decided to suspend the program. A "US State" isn't going to be able to force the Federal Government to have one set of rules for sanctuary states and another entirely separate set for non sanctuary states.
Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner! If you want representatives who want to put the rights of illegals before the rights of legals, then enjoy reduced freedoms! You elected them! Now enjoy!!

Right back at ya for the obvious on today's CA.

TX in play - sure. I thought that Beto losing in spite of all of that out of state money (outspent Cruz something like 3:1) was proof enough that TX isn't in play, but sure. If you say so. Might want to check TX's Cook PVI numbers - TX in play LOL.

NV's looking lost; the tax 'n spenders are taking over. My street alone has 15% CA expats who moved to escape the high costs, yet probably still vote D in spite of how CA's gone down the sewer. By the way, looks like CA will be losing a House seat due to the net emigration trend. So there's that.

Way too early to call it.
Let's see if the Ds get a brokered convention - that won't help their cause because I'd expect Bernie to get snubbed again. Even at that, Klobuchar could be a force to be reckoned with. I don't see the rest of the candidates as competitive for various reasons.

Paywalled. Not that it matters; everything changes over time. Just roll with the punches.
And the woke white exodus from CA is a good thing; they'll just **** off fence sitters (same author as your article; NOT paywalled): https://www.sltrib.com/opinion/comme...othy-egan-how/

Question: if Ds are struggling to beat someone as reprehensible as Trump (I'll vote for him, but he's definitely reprehensible), how do you think Ds will fare after Trump's gone?

back on thread....N.Y. Can vote in these politicians that want to have illegal aliens having drivers licenses to garner votes since most sane people are moving out of this high tax state for greener pastures.

If N.Y. Doesn’t want to play by the rules and share information like every other state does then it has to except the consequences of their actions.

New Yorkers have a choice in November but I doubt things will change there...

The point about Romney is to show that impeachments, despite being part of the constitution’s checks and balances, are a political exercise. So even though the two prior impeachment trials never had ONE senator vote to remove a president of his own party, (Romney was the first), checks an balances in the constitution have never been questioned. In other words, the poster’s remarks I was responding to, have no merit in history.

Nothing stops the House from continually impeaching the President for every act, real or perceived, they believe is an impeachable offense. It’ll still be a political exercise, just like everything done by congress or the president. Just because it’s political, doesn’t mean checks and balances are gone. The ultimate check and balance is we the people’s vote every two years.

Requests from the FED's to coordinate on law enforcement is just something we do. The states have rights, but they don't have extra-territorial rights and they don't have the right to supercede or interfere with federal law.

I get it. joe blow from Michigan wants to fight extradition to Florida. But, that's state to state. At the end of the day, Joe blow loses that fight. But, NY thinks they have a right to deny extradition to the federal authorities. Nuts! Whe heck let the nuts run the asylum over there?

The immigration laws and all of our federal laws should be enforced. The states and the local authorities are a piece of that puzzle. Furthermore, they all took an oath. It absolutely disgusts me that this arrogant childish behavior is tolerated in NY. You get what you vote for over there.

NY and CA will end up losing some big law suits in the near future. When unlawful foreign nationals (illegal aliens) commit crimes and they should have been deported, those cities that let them go will be on the hook for their damages. These data-base scrubs are important to insure criminals get processed as well as get their due process.

I mean, this is the state that elected Alexandria Economics Major Ocasio Cortez, nothing shocks me about that dumpster fire of a state anymore.
