You do know we have a “commuter clause” that would have gotten you off the hook - no worries, since you made an honest attempt at 2 tries?

Contract my friend...it’s saved many of us and that’s what it’s for!

Unless, of course you have debt out the wazzooo(UND - ERAU - etc) and you can’t afford to miss a trip/assignment....as that seems to be the case with folks I’ve run into recently....

He probably didn’t want to lose out in the money dude. The contract doesn’t pay protect him.

My goodness you guys. Yes, I am familiar with the contract and the commuter clause. As I mentioned above, I wanted to fly because I was trying to get consolidated and wanted to get better at the job. It was supposed to simply be an anecdote about how tough the PHX-LAX commute is.

Not that huge a thing anyway. I drove that once a month for a year Not too bad.
