Not sure what your flying but Captain on the 737 for me is substantially more pay per month and year then the 777 Fo seat, plus a lot of commutable trips with nice layovers and great overnights. We have 737 guys that are crushing what many 777 CA make, much less 777 FOs. It’s not very hard to finesse a bit on the 737. I cringe every time I hear them boarding India or Asia flights!!

I am dying laughing because my once God’s gift to aviation self has become a WB reserve who flies bunky maybe once a month. I struggle to remember my uniform items now. I wish someone could put together a compilation of bunky buffoonery found in the sim. I will never judge again.

It’s the 16 hrs on the airplane and 3 days of sleep deprivation, combined with never actually landing or flying an airplane except every three months in the sim, to me it was miserable. I saw a friend headed to Mumbai the other day, me and my FO flew to RSW, had dinner and a beer poolside, and I slept in a comfy bed for 7 hrs before he even landed. Jersey isn’t bad outside of Newark itself but $20k in property taxes and a bunch of rude unfriendly people are enough to make me commute!
