At this point, due to comments like this I would be very distracted if I were to have a United guy in my jump seat. The threats, both veiled and openly stated, have become a distracting threat that I will not be able to compartmentalize and properly and safely do my job if someone from UAL were in my actual jump seat.
I left Jr high many years ago, and choose not to return to the bully tactics and name calling from that maturity level. When I walk the walk to the gate to verify jump seat requests, my name and employee number will be written on top of the letter SAPA has promised to put out.
I have been in the cockpit with people I did not get along with and my performance suffered because of it. Even though I have no desire to move on to UAL the threats expressed on this and other threads mean I will no longer allow a United pilot I have not previously developed a friendship with into my cockpit.

It’s pretty simple bud. If you are denying pilots the ability to get to and from work, you are by definition a d-bag. I’m pretty sure no pilot or company wants to hire d-bags. So, it makes sense that as many of my pilot friends as possible across the industry know who’d be better off not employing.

And this threatening of smelling alcohol on us, you think that doesn’t go both ways? Grow up....

Just wish them a “happy jumpseating” and a salute as you push off the gate.
Mesa isn’t onboard with your childish games. They haven’t signed yet but have never threatened to join in the schoolyard games.

First day back at work and had two UAL pilots come up to me and tell me that I should pull my app because I’ll never be working with them. I’ve had nothing but great experiences on UAL jumpseats and have met some great pilots. Hate to see this much gripe between pilots. But I apologize on behalf of SAPA for this response and please understand that this is not the situation many of our 5000+ pilots want to see through.

Any UAL / UAX pilots are welcome on my jumpseat.

If the majority of Skywest pilots disagree with SAPA, is there any provision for recalling your reps? That may be a smart move.

The Skywest name has gone about 10 levels below Mesa into the gutter. SAPA finally destroyed what was left of any notion of it being a decent airline. Now it is seen as a bunch on non union punks. Amazing how quickly they did it also. Nice job SAPA.

That’s gold because line pilots have so much weight in the hiring process? I forgot, all line pilots are also accountants, lawyers, brokers, HR folks and some can even give marriage advice. Cut me a break, they have no pull and don’t let that bs scare you.

What “schoolyard games” are you referring to? Three representations taking appropriate measures to combat “closed door negotiations” by your reps? If you want to stay with the elementary comparison, then who started it? Who threw the first punch?

The pilots at Mesa have received similar letters by their representation, they are well on board. Management is not in because they are hanging by a thread with UA. Why do you think GoJet caved SO fast and signed?? They lost Delta and are struggling to stay alive. YX/OO, the two largest regionals in the industry have a lot more power than you think. If you voted to relax scope, shame on you.

Can you recall people that aren't in an actual union?
