You're welcome on my jumpseat any time. If deadheading, come up and say hello.
We both have our 3%er's. I'm not planning on using the jumpseat as retribution. I'm confident my representatives can be more effective than utilizing a sophomoric jumpseat war.

If UALPA gives the word the JS will not be offered to SkyWest pilots. It’s as simple as that. Hopefully this gets resolved soon. The SkyWest folks stand to lose a lot more than the UAL folks over this. Probably not a wise decision for SkyWest to push this issue. Good luck.

If you follow this to it’s logical conclusion, it doesn’t end well for Skywest. All it takes is a single WB delay or cancellation, due to a Skywest refusal to carry united pilots, for Skywest “management” to see the light. An FOM revision will be printed immediately and, if they are lucky, Skywest will have little damage to their rep with ual going forward. If the operational impact for United is any worse than that, Skywest will begin its plunge down the regional abyss that has destroyed so many “top tier” regionals in the past.

I think UAL express should get priority over non UAL or UAL express like myself but, seeing you post something like "we deserve priority" makes your pilot group look bad. You are a contractor, your airline doesn't own all of those planes, your airline doesn't sell their own tickets. You need United more than they need you. You don't deserve anything. This doesn't affect just the United side, but our pilot group is already talking about this. I hope you leave that attitude before asking for a ride on the yellow bus.

Wow, the mis-information and flawed logic in this letter is incredible.
They have been working on this for years, so not out of the blue.
The logic (it is in violation of the fom);
A united pilot jumpseating on a delta flight is not a violation of the fom.
Well, we will pull a different excuse out of our ass.
Skywest technically never had a written agreement with the merged "United airlines." Skywest and Republic were asked to actually sign one and refused. This is on your jumpseat committee.
Please, would someone show me the signed jumpseat agreement with United Airlines (post merger). That seems to be the sticking point, but I have yet to see the official agreement.
What legal obligation do Skywest pilots have to a non-union pilot organization?
The jumpseat order United is asking for is the same as Delta, and American (and way better for you than Alaska).
Why not kick them off your jumpseat too?
I have always enjoyed the company and hospitality of Skywest and Republic pilots on their jumpseat.
I hope cooler heads prevail.

It will never cease to amaze me the lack of perspective of those pilots who gave away flying to the regionals moaning about jumpseat or nonrev priority. If you want to claim the jumpseat or seats in the back as "yours", maybe you should check who owns and staffs the airplane first. Until the answer to both of those is mainline, then you'll have to just deal with the fact it's not really your company. Why you want to take away any small comforts that regional pilots have is beyond me, you already get way better tangible benefits in the form of your paychecks, retirements, and schedules.
One easy way to fix this is to just bring all the flying back in house, but I'm just a line pilot so what do I know. Till then, let the regionals have something, *******.

If some Republic pilot denied me the jumpseat and gave me that letter, I'd make every effort to get their names and send into pilot recruiting so they wouldn't get hired.

As of the 2018 10-K for Skywest, Inc. owns 351 aircraft. This is prior to the Expressjet sale. It operates more, under leases, but the majority of those were Expressjet so I'm not sure what the numbers look like now. Would have to dig into a different filing.

As an OO-er UA folk are always welcome in my jumpseat. I agree with previous posters that the threats of certificate action being taken in this case is ridiculous.
SAPA have, in my opinion, gone about this in the wrong way and I wonder if they have sought any professional advice or are just winging it based on their own opinions of the situation.
Hope this all gets sorted out before things get further out of hand.
