Yeah, except they'd be bumping a passenger in the back. NFW senior management's going to ride on an RJ jumpseat. The idea is too funny.

That's a name from the past.

I wouldn’t put it past some of the tools in the Guppy fleet. Man, some of the SC’s and LCA’s in that fleet are serious Marvins. But, I digress.

You’re right. It is too funny which makes the “war” that much more ridiculous. Us line swine don’t use that priority, so it must be for management. Right? Those turds won’t use it. (Well, maybe B Thoughman (sp?). His feet probably still wouldn’t touch the floor.). The company wants that clause in case it gets its teat in a wringer. I’d bet nobody here has ever had an “approved personal” on the JS. Maybe if Godzilla attacks WHQ. Who knows.

I’m glad this is over. I hope nobody was seriously effected going into their days off.

I sincerely hope the UAL MEC is successful in getting immediate interviews for the Captains who continued to offer jumpseats and get pilots home to their families and to work ASAP. Conversely, I also hope they are successful in keeping anyone who denied a UA/UAX Pilot a Jumpseat over this from getting a job with any ALPA carrier. I don’t want to fly with you. The behavior demonstrated shows you aren’t worthy of our profession. You set back the progress we have made with stations YEARS by hiding behind gate agents. It’s sad. The Jumpseat is not a tool to be used for threats and tantrums.

All for nothing. You bet on the wrong horse. Hope it was worth it.

btw, for all those wondering, the UALPA jumpseat agreement they offered doesn't come in table form. It is a multi-page legal document which contained no tables and had UAL/UAX exclusive ahead of UAX non exclusive on Republic/SkyWest/Mesa/Go Jet flights. UALPA has been lying to you, but they've done that a lot in the past so no surprise.

SCs and LCAs would still be too low level to be able to use it. SVP and above would probably be the only ones permitted and like I said, there's no way they're riding on an RJ jumpseat.

ALPA has all the names filed through the PDRs. What they do with them is their choice.

These came from UAL Management in the form of pilot bulletins. On the left is the priority on the day the change was announced. On the right is from yesterday after Skwest, Republic, and Mesa signed. The only change is the wording in the must-ride group.

First of all, nobody is given a table to sign as a jumpseat agreement. So not sure what you posted above, but it is not what SKY, RPA, Mesa saw. What they did see was a multi page legal document that had UAL pilots ahead of UAX pilots on those company's aircraft. A blatant land grab ahead of the upcoming relaxing of scope. They knew there are going to be many more regional aircraft at United and wanted to lock up all those extra regional jumpseats they are going to let United create.

Why anyone would want to work for a company that does this kind of crap is beyond me. I would think someone not getting hired due to something like this is the real winner.
