The new system allows UAL pilots to check in 24 hours before the flight, thus circumventing the FOM priority which states TOC an hour before the flight. I believe this is where they say the violation would occur.

I’m just stating what they have said, nothing more.

This is how SAPA can save face, declare victory and withdraw before tanks enter the compound. Get a listing of exactly who these authorized personnel are or change "United Authorized Personnel" to something like "Jointly Authorized". Big whoop, congratulations on "victory". The industry standard jumpseat priority table is what we wanted and what we'll get. Sign and you'll be able to join GoJet on the priority list... ahead of DAL, AA, SWA, etc. You're welcome.

CRJ 550 has absolutely nothing to do with 175’s. UAD can’t fly another 175 unless UAL buys a new SNB fleet for UAL mainline pilots to fly. They can only add 50 seaters because they are up against scope choke.
You’re joking, right? The whole reason to convert a CRJ-700 (70 seats) to a CRJ-550 (50 seats) is so that UA could add more E175SC’s (70 seats) at the REGIONAL LEVEL.

It has EVERYTHING to do with 175s. You’re clearly oblivious as to what’s going on at your own company.

On Skywest, and other non-UAX-E carriers, check-in time stays the same. T-60 at the gate.

The self-listing and check-in comes later on UAX-E flights where own-metal, UAL, and UAX-E pilots are prioritised by DOH (seniority for UAL pilots) in our respective groups.

I have just heard from a friend that because of SKW denying a United Pilot on an Alaska flight, this has received the attention of ALPA National. This is not going to end well for SKW and RAH.

You have that backward. The reason they are only putting 50 seats in a 70 seat jet is that they cannot add any more 70 seat airplanes.

Correct, therefore converting a -700 to a -550 allows for more 175s.

It allows more 175’s but it isn’t a gain in 70 seat aircraft. Just trading old and busted for a young hottie. I don’t imagine that the 550 will be much of a success. Stacking your bags in a closet and getting your own drink and snack is just what business travelers want. So yes, there will be more 175’s, but they will most likely be going to exclusive regionals. The company seems to be placing their future regional eggs into that basket.

Interesting. I don’t think that’s SAPA knows this, or if they do they are acting like they don’t. This 24 hour prior check in was the only thing they were using to hold their FOM violation theory together.

I am in the camp that they have gotten this whole thing wrong, and while I agree SKW should not grant must ride status to any UAL executives, their was no reason to go about denying pilots the Jumpseat. But they are in too deep now and there’s no easy way to get out.
