That is completely false. It SAPA is telling you that they are lying. Both of our managements have a written JS access agreement. There is no PRIORITY agreement. Please stop making things up.

Facts and such really get in the way of an emotional argument.

Good logic. So United and Skywest have to reach an agreement for you to allow an Expressjet pilot on your jumpseat?

United is in love with regionals; they’re not going to replace anyone. If this wasn’t the case, UA wouldn’t have gone out of their way to create the CRJ-550 just to add more 175s.

This has been explained countless times on APC and the RJ pilots just simply don't want to listen.

1- "Authorized personnel" is not the boogeyman and is very narrow in scope. It cannot be used to put mainline pilots on their jumpseat positive space, nor be used by a "united chief pilot for his personal commuting purposes" (loved that one)

2- They don't read the priority charts and promote all kinds of misconceptions.

3- Ability to list for jumpseat and doh allows for the ability to plan a commute and prevents pilots from abusing toc priority. Abuse that UAL has reems of data on via PDRs.

Just a few years ago YX was a basket case. You couldn't go into a YX city without seeing a bunch of Delta painted ERJ's parked all over the place. They couldn't man airplanes. They were being sued by Delta for breach of contract and filed for chapter 11 protection. Everyone knew they were gone and ASA/ExpressJet was going to take over their Delta flying. ASA? Man, it wasn't going anywhere. No way Delta would fire them. Well... that didn't quite work out as many planned.
The regional industry is fickle and is strewn with the wreckage of "can't fail" airlines. ACA, Comair, ASA are just a few of them.
Never, ever assume a legacy won't fire a feeder. As learned when ASA was fired, the pilots will quickly leave and follow the airplanes. Went from about 1700 pilots to about 250 in a short period as many pilots made lateral moves.
Say what? Dude get your facts straight, republic wanted out of their 145 leases fast and the only way was to declare bankruptcy even though they had money in the bank. Overnight they rid themselves of all those lawn darts and became a single type operation.

You guys really don’t know much about UAL do you?

CRJ 550 has absolutely nothing to do with 175’s. UAD can’t fly another 175 unless UAL buys a new SNB fleet for UAL mainline pilots to fly. They can only add 50 seaters because they are up against scope choke.

They take a former 70 seat crj-700 and convert it to a 50 seat 550. At the same time they replace the 700 with a 175 and restrict it to 70 seats. Still complies with scope and they’re really roomy in back. Even the cheap seats.

. I hope on the regional side that there is a similar process to report United pilots who are playing this stupid game as well.
It's one of your guys that said the denying captain would be eating crow when the jumpseat request got a seat in first class.
Yes if someone who could get a seat nonrev in the back and instead listed for the jump his name would be reported as trying to intimidate me to make a point.
