I understand perfectly.
- Do United pilots fly the plane?
- Do United FA's work the back?
- Does United own the plane (in most cases)?
- Did United pilots give up a whole bunch of scope in a weak moment a decade ago so now "Regionals" are flying EWR to IAH and other hub to hub operations daily?
Hopefully that clears it up a little for you.

Actually it’s a Republic / SkyWest/ Etc route... you gave it up and we’re flying it for you. Our crews flying our planes mean we should absolutely go ahead of you on that aircraft for nonrev and jumpseat. Until you replace that route with a 737 (please do) then it’s not your flight to have priority on

It's not the regionals fault that are doing mainline's flying that don't have the planes or pilots to do those routes.
Skywest has the essential air service program to reach smaller communities and it just so happens to be done under United (and others). If im not mistaken it doesn't sound like those were United routes to begin with.

The fair solution to all pilots:
1. Own metal ...(including seats in the back).
2. UAX (exclusive or not) and United ...priority based on one hour before check-in time.
3. All others.
