What exactly is the intention of this site? I’m not employed at either of these shops and don’t have a quarrel here, but if you’re uploading peoples names to this site as a sort of “blacklist” you may run into some legal issues. This is coming from a guy who has had a previous career in the legal field. Just be careful is all I’m saying.

My guess is cooler heads will prevail and any info. will be private.

Aviate makes any of the UA only carriers much more attractive to newly minted college grads. Between the flow at AA wholly owneds, DGI at Endeavor and Aviate at United Express it’s hard to imagine anyone who wants to work for the big three choosing Skywest anymore.

Answer, " I denied the other pilots the jumpseat"
Very telling. And most Legacy pilots are pretty angry that for the most part, people who have been in the industry a relatively short time, have picked a really boneheaded way to attempt resolution. A form of resolution that Legacy pilots would never consider. Never.
A jumpseat denial is a childish and pathetic course of action.
Hopefully those regional pilots who employ it never make it to the majors. Ever.

If I’m so lucky one day to get an interview with a mainline carrier, maybe even United, I could imagine the following:
“So, you’re from Skywest? Were you there during that whole jumpseat fiasco? What did you do? Oh, so you let United guys on anyway. Right on, man. You’re right that was political BS. Question, though. How do we know you won’t go into our FOM one day, see something you feel is political BS and decide you will ignore it? Have a nice day.”
So, you see, I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t. Not a great spot to be in.

In an indirect way they're helping you hold the line on scope by not accepting this.
This jumpseat grab is one more item that will be presented to the UAL pilot group to sweeten the pot when the company comes asking for scope relief.
Some of the UAX pilot group (divide and conquer) already fell over themselves giving it up. In exchange, the promise of shiny new large 70 seat jets in the future and the chance to interview for mainline.
The premier passengers are letting United know loud and clear that the fifty seater with no upgrades or WiFi is no longer acceptable when they have that option on the competition. It's gonna be interesting.

No SKW captain would deny a person the Jumpseat out of spite. I recently had a UA in my Jumpseat who was just trying to get home (2 days before the s### hit the fan). However, if I face disciplinary action due to me not following policy and procedures...
Like it’s mentioned above, if SkyWest fires me, will United hire me?

In the meantime, hope you don’t wind up on deniedjumpseat.com.

With people who want to work at United more than they want to work at Skywest.
