Looks like the jumpseat order got changed.

Feel free to change the priority on your own aircraft any time. The problem here is that UALPA is trying to unilaterally change the jumpseat priority for other carriers, contrary to a long-standing reciprocal relationship. How do you not get that that is a problem?
You want to say that there is all of a sudden no agreement that UAL recognizes for whatever reason? It sucks, but ok. We can probably all agree that nobody will really win the resulting peeing contest, but consider this: regional pilots can get from SFO to IAD or from ORD to DEN without mainline United without too much trouble. How will united pilots in IND or TUS fare without reliable regional jumpseats?
And how long will it take for United management to get sick of bumping rev pax for the sake of your stupid Richard-measuring contest before they put an end to the shenanigans?

It may also be helpful to remember that this isn't a negotiation.

If I’m so lucky one day to get an interview with a mainline carrier, maybe even United, I could imagine the following:
“So, you’re from Skywest? Were you there during that whole jumpseat fiasco? What did you do? Oh, so you let United guys on anyway. Right on, man. You’re right that was political BS. Question, though. How do we know you won’t go into our FOM one day, see something you feel is political BS and decide you will ignore it? Have a nice day.”
So, you see, I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t. Not a great spot to be in.

The FOM is currently unchanged, but if it does change which, according to all saying that SAPA is just Skywest management, I think that update will be pushed to our EFB’s soon. I hear your point and it’s a valid one. Until the FOM is changed we go by the JS priority list that is currently published.
Yes. If the company wants to bar United Pilots from the Jumpseat, then let them do it. So far, the only guidance or interpretation is coming from SAPA.
And don’t think that the Pilots at the other major’s aren’t watching. I’ve defended over a dozen Captains over jumpseat issues. And the guidance from the FAA, is that the Captain has unfettered authority. We don’t want to loose that authority and give it to management

You don't have to sign the agreement. But if you don't then you'll be grouped with OAL pilots. Simple. My understanding is that you'd also get online listing capability as well as international jumpseat access if you sign. You chose to have a tantrum instead. I'm honestly not too concerned because I believe that you'll get whatever it is you deserve in the end.

There is supposed to be a website up and running tonight called
deniedjumpseat.com that will track all jumpseat denials.

I’m sure some SKW or RAH brat is going take credit for this.

No way is a United going to permit it.
I can't believe this full retard (reference Tropic Thunder) 'idea' has gained enough traction for this thread to exceed 100 pages. Idiocracy.
