Let them be what?
Pilots at United are in a labor union, act like it. That means knowing the history of the movement to include the struggles, obstacles, challenges.
The “new people” who are ......don’t belong here.

That's a bit much IMO. Part of being in an association like ours is mentorship. You are constantly being told managements perspective on things and a person could have been lucky and avoided a lot of the major pitfalls that abound in this career. You have to educate the new members that are coming from all walks of life that maybe weren't around when hard life lessons were being taught. I saw it more at JetBlue where guys were just happy to have a job and didnt want to rock the boat after a bad 10 yrs in the industry. We are stronger if we are all on the same page.

Let them enjoy the good times. Your a ..... You dont think these people came for other union shops and know how to fight or had to eat a **** sandwich. I forgot your the only one who can show them the way. Lots of blow hards here think they are the only ones to go through hard times and had to fight.

I sometimes fly with peeps who came off the 727 panel while still in year ONE at MU. The only flying seat they've ever known is the 777. They now hold 777 Cap seniority.
Three 3 day NRT trips per month for approx 85 hours. Nice work if you can get it.
