I think the number of people coming over on top of you is going to be limited. The bottom line holders seem to be holding the unproductive domestic flying with little open time to trade for. You need to be over 60% to touch decent flying and by that time you are probably a line holding narrowbody captain with more opportunity for premium pay and more open trips to trade with. There might be a few that want to see this type of flying but I don't think it will make sense financially for many.

It depends.
The min max document shows the minimum number that each BES can have after the bid.
If enough people bid out of a BES so that the total number remaining drops below the MIN number then backfilling is required. Those backfills represent the min backfill required, so they show up in each snapshot.
Now, the company can backfill up to the maximum shown in the MIN-MAX document for each BES. So, if the MIN is below the MAX, you may see more backfilling in the final award than had been shown in each snapshot.
On this bid, most BES that don't have a vacancy advertised have a hug spread between min and max. While that gives the company the flexibility to more backfilling, I don't think we are going to see much additional backfilling. They said on the announcement that they are waiting on final info for the 756 and 737 for next summer before pumping up the training on those fleets. So, unless the got late breaking news that the 756 was going to go way up in utilization, or the MAX got ungrounded and I didn't hear about it, I think what you see in the snapshots is what you will get in the final as far as backfilling goes.

I was asking more about:
“For “Section 8-C-4-a” categories, the Company may make secondary awards, over and above the number of advertised primary vacancies for the category, in order to meet training needs.”
I was curious when this happens. Because when there are laterals now they might issue a larger vacancy on the final to fill the training slots since lateral base to base within category and class don’t cause the training slot to be utilized.
I see the secondary’s on each snapshot, but I’m not sure when they do the above 8-C-4-a adjustment. After taking some time today, I think it must just be on the final.

I believe they do after the final snapshot. My understanding is they know they will advertise more vacancies in the near future but have training available now so they won’t know how many training spots are available until after bid closes and they look at the number of lateral vs people requiring training at TK. Then fill the opened sims.
