That’s what kept me from bidding 756 CA. Global reserve and no control over days off. At least basic NB reserve you only have one day off per month they can move.

Historically, the only guys concerned about QOL while on reserve at UA are the guys without much of it while on reserve at UA.

12800+ seniority buddy of mine bid the 777 for those reasons. He lives 1:30 from SFO.

That would be funny if it weren’t probably true.

I left SFO at 4 PM one Friday before a long summer weekend. It took me an hour to get to the bridge. Then it took me another hour to get ACROSS the bridge.

I live in Sacramento. Yesterday morning (Saturday) it took me 90 minutes exactly from my driveway to the A garage. A week ago Friday I got into my truck at the airport at 14:30 and hit my driveway at 18:27.

You don’t get transfer days through a base trade.

The trouble is Californians actually LIKE this. The best state in the union in terms of weather, and it's over run with people who believe the taxes and laws are fair.

Time for that Captain's Cessna.

I tried hard to relocate to the bay area for the career progression. I couldn't find anything within my desired areas that I could afford that didn't make me look like I just graduated from homelessness two weeks ago. I guess I should have looked outside of Sausalito

SAC was considered... briefly. Great houses and neighborhoods in the surrounding area but not enough podcasts in the world for me to do that drive regularly.
