Gaping hole? Any reason the company hasn’t exploited the “gaping hole” yet? They have literally exploited EVERY loophole to date, re: long call/short call reserve. The P2P talking points are softening the battlefield for more RJ’s.....mark it down.

Exactly! If they thought they could farm it out and have it make financial sense, they would already be doing it! This is NOTHING more than an attempted scare tactic in order to get the less informed among us to give Kirby more RJ’s. Folks, wake up. They already have the contractual language in place to get those jets if they want them. They simply have to bring on a NSNB to make it happen. Funny how not a damn word has ever been uttered re: WB scope until just recently. Coincidence? Hardly.

Just because they haven’t exploited it yet, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t protect our highest paying positions wouldn’t you say? Right now they’re working on a JV with Avianca and Azul. There are sure to be more to follow since we tend to be 5 years behind Delta in everything they do. RJ scope is important but we are not in the ideal negotiating position that many assume.

I’m not buying the myth that it’s NOT “protected.” IMHO, this MEC has backed themselves into a corner and are trying to soft peddle their way out. We’ll see.

After reading that, do you honestly believe the company could give all of our upcoming 787 deliveries to COPA AND have them operate them FOR us? That is a fantasy.
