That's per hour, not flight. At the most, it's an extra 30 min on a flight. Usually less time. My bad for not being more specific.

I think we pilots should do our part and not only take a pay cut on this next contract, we should also get rid of scope. That should help pay for running the APU an extra 20 minutes.

Now your talking. I'd take a pretty big hit in pay since I normally start the APU as soon as I step on the plane. I never shut it down upon arrival unless air is connected.

Do ya think? Everything from my "chills" post to my last above is something a new hire has told me.

Going to have to do much more than that in the future to appease the radical climate activists. Good luck to today’s young aviators:

You’re right about the paywall, but the LA Times reprinted the article:

How typical and a huge waste.

Passengers and crew first. External air is mildly cool at best. The battle is lost once the passengers start boarding. My habit changes with the outside air temperature.

If that's typical, I'll take it.

Yep, nothing makes me chuckle more than these young turk climate activists who worship those (DeCaprio, Gore, etc) who have carbon footprints larger than some small cities in the Midwest.

Those activists are all about reducing carbon footprints. Just not their own carbon footprints.
