Shack.

Apathy is real.

The regional product is over utilized on improper routes, offers a poor passenger experience with no support for the operating crews, and can be replaced by an all mainline fleet. Nobody needs or wants the complexity of another fleet type but let's expand our Airbus or Boeing game. All these successful LCC's prove that you can fill a mainline aircraft where only regional jet service was before.

For the sake of argument then, explain Shuttle, TED, and Cal Lite.

And on the other end of the Scope spectrum, I imagine this is one of the "breakthrough" results the company is hoping for:

Improving Section 1 is critical to all of our collective futures, whether you're junior or senior.

For the most part, exactly as it has been for the last 30 years. You might as well get used to it. Yes the newer EMB's are a big step up, but the abysmal outstation ops are, ops normal.

Apathy is real. And for good reason in some instances.

Now, about that NEW contract.....

What do you mean by breakthrough and by which company? Delta or United?

Delta is moving operations in Tokyo from BFE to downtown as a result of being awarded the majority of US airline HND slots. So is United but UAL hasn’t announced and end to service in NRT, yet.

DAL ending the NRT SIN tag may be due to United’s “SIN every 12 hours” service off the west coast. That’s a W for United.

Yes, Delta’s NRT service may be absorbed by JV partners, just like UAL’s NRT service is being absorbed by ANA. Aside from the obvious “scope is a battle fought on two fronts - RJ and widebody”, I think I missed your point.
