Ohhhh yeah and spell chex 2.
The only group think I encounter is the one in crew rooms with a steady drip of FoxNews. I've never been in an environment with that much group think in my life.

Still waiting to hear how Drag Queen day ‘hurt’ your family. Also who knows how your daughter will feel when one day she learns to think for herself?

Educated people don't watch cable news, especially not the brain poison that is Fox News.

I don't believe I said it hurts my family.

I did say it is not in-keeping with "family values." More specifically, traditional family values. Gee.... I wonder if the company wants to save money and combine bring your kid to work day with drag queen day.

Daughter does think for herself. Daughter likely headed to medical school, MCAT scores are good. Needs to boost Organic Chemistry, so she will look at physician or veterinary medicine. That's the beauty of letting your kids think for themselves. Pretty good choice I reckon.

I couldn't disagree more. My father ran away from home in the 8th grade and fought in Korea and Vietnam. He was a soldier. No pilot in my family. Mom was an army medical specialist, and I was the first in my family to go to college. Former enlisted, so no pilots in the family.

I knew what I wanted and I did it. In reality...so what. That's what life is.

I can't take the corporate leadership seriously when they want to save a few pennies and then pee away the money for stuff like this. If Oscar was writing a personal check for it out of his pocket, then so be it. I don't think the company should be doing this for two reasons: It costs money, and it isn't done for everyone. Every single high school in America should have United Airlines come in and fly a B787 in there and do a dog and pony show for everyone. If they can't, then don't do it at all.

Appealing specifically to females is inappropriate and sexist. it's the same as saying "you throw like a girl." Tell that to a College softball player. You'll get an ugly look. The ladies do a bunch of butt kicking and don't need any help from anyone. They aren't under-represented in any sense of the word. They have free will and choose accordingly. Everyone knows we have female pilots, female astronauts, female governors, female doctors. it's not a secret. Women can do anything they set their mind to. Don't need any help form UAL or any other corporation. They got it.

I did advise my daughter to look at aviation. why? because she'll be hired in very short order by an airline looking to hire more females. She won't have to waste too much time instructing and living on peanuts. She opted for medicine.

Don't forget to tell all the minority pilots stuck at the regionals who can't get a call that they must have forget to "check the box." Because they would surely be hired in weeks!

I would say that Key West during "Fantasy Fest" which your referring to would make the Drag Queens blush....

I agree with the overall idea that the company should be appealing to the professionalism, safety, value and convenience of it's products and not pandering to woke subgroups of society like drag queens. Reaching out to women and minorities could be part of a program of trying to show your professionalism....
