Why would anyone tell offensive jokes in the cockpit? Whether those individuals are present or not? It's not about the target group, it’s about the individual telling the offensive joke.

Anecdotally, I’m a completely average white guy who got hired with times that some people describe as a “shocking example” of bias...but nobody ever questions if I “belong” in my seat or “earned it.”
I wonder why I don’t get questioned the way women and minorities with similar resumes do.

I would say that Key West during "Fantasy Fest" which your referring to would make the Drag Queens blush....
I agree with the overall idea that the company should be appealing to the professionalism, safety, value and convenience of it's products and not pandering to woke subgroups of society like drag queens. Reaching out to women and minorities could be part of a program of trying to show your professionalism....

I think you summed it up very well indeed. No need anymore, any longer or whatever... Everyone has access to "google" or similar search engines to look up companies and see what their hiring protocols are.
United's public image doesn't need any polish on it in the area of appealing to minorities, or under-represented classes. I recall no less than 3 specially made videos celebrating the hiring of females that I saw from UAL within the last 18 months. UAL wants to do it, and then shine the spot light on itself and pat itself on the back.
It would be very nice indeed if UAL visa-vi CAL/CAL Holdings would have done right by the military pilots. They had no trouble screwing them, and I am sure there were some minorities and females in that group or sub group. That took about 10 years to get solved. There was a discrimination component to it as I recall.
That's what it's called.... that Key West junket. Fantasy Fest. I recall it was very odd indeed. Did a military trip down there during that time and I had no idea what I was watching. I thought it was the Jerry Springer show on steroids or something. A combination of gross-yuck, and holy cow.

Look at the average age when hired for M vs. F. That should point out some bias. I don't know what the data says, but I'd be surprised if ages were equal.
