Default Pick up trip to restore sick bank

Hey so sick bank pretty much depleted. How to I go about picking up an extra trip and having them credit my sick bank? I tried calling pay desk but went to voicemail. Left a message but I guess a week isn’t long enough anyone have experience with this?

Agreed. Math is the same.

I never understood flying back sick time versus putting the money in the bank.

Anyone have a good reason?

Not only that, you can take your money and invest it. With a tiny bit of skill and a lot of luck, you can make some real coin. AAPL is up 22 percent in the last month.

Sick pay earns zippo.

Sick bank hours are not taxed.. until you use them. And if you carry those hours with you to higher paying categories, it will beat the post tax return on most stable investments.

So to answer your question, if you have already flown the trip, try submitting a Help Hub request.. And when you get it restored, be sure and check you get an income tax adjustment.

So they're not taxed, until they're taxed? Or you only pay taxes on them once you receive them. Am I missing something?

Here’s a scenario where it makes sense: NB Fo about to take an upgrade to nb ca. Instant 40% earnings. Not bad.

Sick bank pays zero if you retire and do not use it. It also will most likely pay zero if we switch to a Delta type of sick back system....

Also, if it is depleated, isn't there a fast accrual where you earn 10 hours a month for a prescribed period of time?

There is, however it only applies after a large, single, use of sick bank (255 hours). If you have multiple, smaller uses that deplete your bank you do not qualify for rapid Accrual.

You can only pick up to restore sick bank hours used in the same month (bid period) that you use them. There is no provision in the contract to just pick up and add hours to your sick bank.
