It's a sad state of affairs when Boeing engages in demonstrably criminally negligent behavior during the certification process, acts in a manner not worthy of the traveling public or any professional aviator's trust, and yet we're going to make fun of the pilots for being stressed?

I hope my Canadian brothers and sisters take them to the cleaner.

Boeing can go to hell.

If you don’t throw the “safety card” after 350 people die because Boeing wanted to save a few bucks, when do you throw it?

Legend has it that Bethune cautioned his managers about shorting pilots a single dollar. Something along the lines that they'd get at least 5 back.

This isn't rocket science.

The lawsuit discussed in this thread is about lost compensation. There are (and will be) plenty of legitimate suits against Boeing for engineering lapses etc under the safety umbrella.

Legend has it they didn’t have to short the pilots, they shorted themselves. And Bethune said "you left $500 million on the table"—to their face. Allegedly.

Friend of a friend who is FB friends with Gordo asked him this question and his response which he posted on FB was words to the effect of “Who comes up with this stuff. We always gave away far more than we wanted with pilot contracts.”

So he’s refuting it, basically.
