Pay multiplier, F/O's help please

Also note that most of those premium opportunities are typically short notice. If you commute and are sitting at home 800 miles away the options will be limited. Picking up regular trips from open time is always an option, but it does not include to bonus pay, and the rules are different for lineholders and reserves.
That said, I would make ZERO assumptions of any pay above guarantee when working out the family budget. This applies regardless of seniority.

It all depends. Wildly. It can be as simple as coincidently having days available following a minor storm passage.

As a RSV guy there is no premium pay and pickup available. All you can do is make yourself available for VDO opportunities. They call you if they need you. That’s all you can do. VDO is 50% of block time add pay which goes to you regardless of whether you break guarantee. If you break MPG of 73, obviously a VDO trip carries a lot more weight.

However as a line holder you can volunteer to pickup premium pay on days off. Senior manning.
