I don't like it when guys unilaterally decide and then pontificate upon what's best the greater good of the pilot group all by themselves. And if anyone's looking for me tonight, I'll likely be at the bar. ;)

Well ****, what time and where? I'll join ya'. I'm clearly a problematic and substandard pilot as well, that clearly needs help. I like to play "frat boy" on all my overnights. I'm so glad there are others that so graciously offer their judgmental opinions at others that don't think the way they do!

I did't paint sheet with any brush. I just said my favorites are the ones who get busted for booze and drugs. No where did I say everyone does it or that all people who drink do it. You just read it that way because you're a boozer and thought I was accusing you as well. Insecure much? Estrogen a bit high? My post doesn't apply to responsible drinkers, only to those who push it and do drugs.

Oh, if your retirement memories are only gonna be of the hotel bars, you're a sad soul. There's way more to this career and life than a hotel bar.

I’ll bet you’re fun at parties.

Do you mean pontificate on what is for the greater good of the pilot group.....like you advocating for NOT doing the contract extension? Glass houses.

Speaking of glass houses don’t we have a pilot in trouble for a chippendale’s act in a glass house in DEN? Perhaps he has a disease also or at least carrying one.

My favorites are the ones that get busted for drinking or smoking dope. We’ve had a few of those. Gotta have those beers on the overnights. Some people just can’t resist. To me that’s as dumb as stealing a sweater from first class. Risky, but most pilots do it anyway.

Adding "most" is at least a four inch brush. Enjoy your life on the mount.

There's a huge difference between pontificating for issues directly relating to the pilot group and those of a more individual nature. Contracts affect us all in an immediate nature. Substance occurrences are sideline issues at best.

So nice to see you're ready to convict a fellow pilot before the actual facts have been presented. A FEW in this group never cease to amaze me.

Very weird guy in the first place but a very fitting ending to his career. Ed something or other.

Maybe was planning to time travel back to the '70's.....while wearing the sweater?

Somebody sick enough to show up drunk needs treatment, not their peers equating their addiction with criminality.
This attitude bothers me so much. Showing up drunk is by definition criminal. I have all the compassion in the world for their plight, up until they attempt to operate an aircraft impaired. There's a gigantic difference between a pilot (or anyone) who reaches out for help and a pilot who chooses to fly drunk, or drive drunk, or whatever the case is...and is caught. The latter demonstrates abysmal decision making and neglect that doesn't belong in our profession. Sorry. I know that's a cold thing to say, but I believe it. As professional pilots we're held to a high standard of behavior and hold the public trust. I hope anyone who needs help gets it, but I'm also in no hurry to get them back into a cockpit after reporting for duty impaired.

Cuz you’re at parties all the time. How old are you? If drinking is what makes you fun then you must suck otherwise.
