THIS!!!
Here's why. The new generation doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Folks that are caught up in cancel culture are so afraid of hurting one's feelings. We don't award 1, 2, 3 place. We award participation trophies. If ALPA ever has an authorized job action or work stoppage, the current generation of new pilots won't know if it's a picket line or a bread line and they sure won't have a problem crossing it. Everyone's so bloody entitled.....

Just curious, and anyone can feel free to chime in. And I can start a new thread if I need to because we are starting to get well off topic.
Obviously, we want to stress the importance of unity to the current and upcoming generations of pilots. But, is there any length of time that can pass after which we say it was a long time ago and move on? I mean aren't 98% of them either dead or out of the industry? Is there something that can be done to atone for the sins of past scabs?
I'm interested to hear your opinions.

that’s what I posted nope to
my grandfather, father of 10, stayed out on strike and no one missed a meal. The scabs cut in line for selfish reasons.

sure- they can quit(those who still are employed), and give back every dime they made during their careers since the strike. Every single paycheck is theft.

Thanks for the answers. This is an interesting one and I think it it’s important to discuss. So do you guys feel that it is still theft even to this day? Are there still consequences from the actions of scabs in today in 2021? Also, I know that many scabs now have children in the profession. What do you feel their place is in all this? Do “the sins of the father” sort of get passed down to the son?
I think this is a valuable thing to talk about to educate the youth going forward.

Consequences?- They don’t ride my Jumpseat. Ever.
Sins of the father? No- They aren’t responsible for their parent’s poor choices. Hope that clears it up.
